Finding Resources

Maryland Access Point

Maryland Access Point (MAP) is a statewide program that provides information and referral services over the phone and in the office. Information specialists link the caller/visitor to organizations that provide service to older persons and persons of all ages with disabilities, send printed material about services and/or assist in completing applications for benefits and services.

Call the MAP Office in your county for information about services that are available. If your loved one lives outside Maryland, use the Eldercare Locator to locate resources. To see what financial benefits you may be eligible for visit the Benefits Checkup website.

Adult Medical Day-Care Centers

Adult medical day-care centers provide a comprehensive program of activities, medical supervision and social support for people who need a protected environment during the day, allowing them to remain in the community for as long as possible.

The Maryland Association of Adult Day Services maintains a list of Adult Medical Day Centers in Maryland.
